Registered Nurse, Registered Clinical Counsellor
Renate obtained her Master's from the University of British Columbia in 2002 and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor in good standing with the BC Association of Registered Clinical Counsellors.
Additionally, Renate is an Registered Nurse and has worked with Interior Health in acute and long-term care since 1992. Her experience includes medical/surgical nursing, child and youth mental health, clinical nurse practise education, mental health and substance use, complex and psychogeriatric care.
Renate completed Level 1 of "Imago Therapy" under the tutelage of therapist, researcher and author Dr. Harville Hendrix. Dr. Hendrix is founder/director of the Institute for Relationship Therapy and is a regularly featured guest on "Oprah."
In 2020, Renate also completed Level 1 of EMDR training with Sue Genest, a certified EMDR therapist, EMDRIA approved consultant and EMDRIA training provider.
